This wine is spicy and has medium tannins. You will recognize blueberries in the smell, and hints of chocolate and cedar wood in the taste.
Bodegas Mureda takes its name from the Moorish castle La Casa Mureda located in the former Kingdom of Granada. Many houses and names throughout the region show a strong Moorish influence. Nowadays Bodegas Mureda focuses on wine and olive oil. Valdepeñas is one of the most productive wine regions in Spain. Bodegas Mureda has more than 10,000 hectares of wine growing, of which 1,000 hectares are organic vineyards, located more than 900 meters above sea level. Some buildings on the vineyards are more than 500 years old and are restored to its original state. Mureda works with great respect for nature and owns the largest area of organic vineyards in Spain. The entire organization works from a sustainable and environmentally friendly idea.
