The organic Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc grapes mainly come from young vines and this gives the wine a beautiful light golden color. The scent has a wonderful freshness with notes of tropical fruit, which are also clearly recognizable in the taste. The aftertaste is round, freshly dry and well balanced. Wonderful as an aperitif, with green salad with smoked chicken and orange and many fish dishes.
Bodegas Mureda takes its name from the Moorish castle La Casa Mureda, located in the former kingdom of Granada. Many houses and names throughout the region show a strong Moorish influence. Today, Bodegas Mureda focuses on wine and olive oil. Valdepeñas is one of the most productive wine regions in Spain. Bodegas Mureda has more than 10,000 hectares of wine growing, of which 1,000 hectares are organic vineyards, located more than 900 meters above sea level. Some buildings on the vineyards are more than 500 years old and have been restored to their original state. Mureda works with great respect for nature and owns the largest area of organic vineyards in Spain. The entire organization works from a sustainable and environmentally friendly idea.
