Le Grand Balthazar

This wine is a unique blend with 4 varieties that make an iconic wine. This is Pierrick Harang’s ‘grand vin’, of which there are also a limited number of bottles in circulation. The maceration takes place ‘à l’ancienne’, in open barrels of 500 L. The solid components of the must are immersed again with the feet (pigeage). This is followed by a maturation of 14 months in barrels in which 1 wine has already matured. The bottle has a screw cap, so the aromas and flavors cannot be influenced by cork. Color: deep pomegranate red with purple sparkles Smell: complex fruity, smoked, minerality, notes of violets and cassis, plum jam and sweet herbs Taste: fresh attack, broad, silky soft and very fruity middle with rich, melted tannins and lots of body, tasty final Winery Pierrick Harang Wine is an experienced winery of five generations of high-level wine merchants and oenologists. This winery is known for its fruit-driven and elegant wines.
